Drama Comedy Romance

Warren Beatty plays George, a sexy male Beverly Hills hairdresser who can't resist women and is irresistible to them. While styling hair and frolicking with his female customers, he's on the lookout for an investor to finance his own salon.  Fun-loving George has a long list of admirers: girlfriend Jill (Goldie Hawn), mistress Jackie (Julie Christie), "favorite" customer Felicia (Lee Grant, who won an Oscar® for Best Supporting Actress) and Felicia's daughter, Lorna (Carrie Fisher). George meets Lester, Felicia's wealthy Republican husband (Jack Warden, nominated for his role) who believes George is gay and is intrigued by his salon idea. Everything seems to be moving the way George hoped it would when the truth comes out during a 1968 presidential election party and George faces the prospect of reconsidering his freewheeling lifestyle. Directed by Hal Ashby and written by Robert Towne (who received an Oscar® nomination), SHAMPOO is a modern classic for its stellar cast and social satire.
