On THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW, what goes on in front of the camera often belies the action behind it. Despite his apparent command of one of TV's most coveted stages, host Larry Sanders (Garry Shandling) must fight an ongoing battle with insecurity that borders on paranoia and keeps his staff on edge. Alongside veteran producer Arthur (Rip Torn), who knows how to play Larry's neuroses to the hilt, the show's announcer and resident fool, “Hey Now” Hank Kingsley (Jeffery Tambor), toils to burnish his show business image with their smart but disrespectful staff. As Larry struggles to balance his personal and professional lives, a parade of celebrity guests including Mimi Rogers, Carol Burnett, Robin Williams and Billy Crystal forces him to put on his game face for the public, even as his wife Jeannie's threats to leave him prove that all is not well in Tinseltown.  A co-production with HBO.
